If you are travelling by plane from and within Canada, you are required to bring your own face covering. In light of the evolving situation with COVID-19, all passengers and non-passengers must wear a face covering and place it over their mouth and nose before entering the screening checkpoint. Take note: As of September 23, in addition to temperature screening occurring at Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal airports, 11 more have been added to the list. If you are also travelling from St. John’s, Halifax, Québec City, Ottawa, Toronto-Billy Bishop, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Kelowna or Victoria, you will undergo temperature screening. Here’s some other changes we’ve made at the checkpoint.
CATSA on Pinterest
CATSA’s Pinterest accounts are another means of interacting with the organization and provide the opportunity to learn about getting through airport security quickly and easily. We look forward to sharing information and encourage visits to our website for more detailed information.
The CATSA Pinterest accounts (www.pinterest.com/CATSAGC and www.pinterest.com/ACSTAGC) are used as an alternative method to access material posted on CATSA’s website. Additional information is available on our website.
Following and unfollowing
CATSA follows other Government of Canada institutions and industry organizations relevant to the mandate of our work. This could include following the Pinterest accounts of industry stakeholders, associations and other governmental agencies, but may also include travel bloggers or other accounts related to travel. The appearance of a Pinterest user as a follower of the CATSA account does not imply endorsement, nor does CATSA following any particular user.
CATSA may repin relevant material posted by other Government of Canada Pinterest accounts and/or other accounts determined to be relevant to our followers and of significant value. Repinning CATSA content does not imply endorsement, nor does CATSA repinning any particular user’s pins.
Links to Other Websites
Occasionally, CATSA may pin items containing links to websites that are not the CATSA website or a Government of Canada website. These links are provided solely for the convenience of users. CATSA is not responsible for the accuracy, currency or reliability of the content. CATSA is not responsible for the information found through these links, nor does it endorse the sites and their content.
Because Pinterest servers are managed by a third party, CATSA Pinterest accounts are also subject to downtime that may be out of CATSA‘s control. As such, we accept no responsibility for the Pinterest network becoming unresponsive or unavailable.
CATSA cannot engage in partisan politics or answer questions that contravene our commenting policy.
As a third party service provider, Pinterest is not bound by Government of Canada policies for web accessibility.
CATSA respects Canada’s Official Languages Act and is committed to ensuring information is available in both French and English, of equal quality. CATSA’s pins are available in both official languages. Simply view the appropriate CATSA Pinterest account: in English at www.pinterest.com/CATSAGC or in French at www.pinterest.com/ACSTAGC.
Through the very nature of the social media forum, content may vary between the English and French Pinterest accounts. However, any pins originating from CATSA ill be done in both official languages. Should CATSA repin another user’s pin, it will be in language of origin. Users should be aware that some links direct users to the sites of organizations or other entities that are not subject to the Official Languages Act. These sources are only available in the language in which they are written.
