Beware – Scammers asking for fees on behalf of CATSA
Protect yourself against fraud! People claiming to work for or on behalf of CATSA are sending invoices to victims asking for payments. CATSA never requests payments from individuals seeking to come to Canada. This is a scam.
Recreational cannabis: A legal amount of recreational cannabis is permitted (30g or less). Cannabis oil is subject to the liquid restrictions – 100 ml (3.4 oz.) or smaller container permitted in carry-on.
If an amount greater than the legal limit is presented at a pre-board screening checkpoint or discovered during screening, protocol requires us to notify the police. This could lead to charges and prosecution.
Cannabis for medical purposes: If the amount of cannabis you are carrying appears to be more than the legal limit for recreational possession, be prepared to show medical documentation.Your documentation and the amount of cannabis you carry must be in accordance with the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations.
