You can pack containers of alcohol (including homemade wine and beer, and commercial products) in your checked baggage if:
- The percentage of alcohol by volume is 70% (140 proof) or less.
- The quantity does not exceed five litres per person for alcoholic beverages between 24% and 70% alcohol by volume.
Alcoholic beverages containing 24% alcohol or less are not subject to limitations on quantities.

Baby formula and food, juice, water and other baby items - these are allowed in your carry-on baggage or personal items. You can take these through the security checkpoints and aboard your plane. However, you must be travelling with an infant under two years of age (0-24 months). You may bring gel or ice packs to keep your baby products cool. All items including formula must be presented to the Screening Officer and will be inspected.

CATSA recommends avoiding metal-lined containers when travelling with powdered formula in your carry-on.
Baked goods: Not subject to volume restrictions
Baking powder or baking soda: Certain powders and granular materials in your carry-on are limited to a total quantity of 350 ml or less (roughly the size of a soda can).
Beverages: 100 ml (3.4 oz.) or smaller container permitted in carry-on.
Butter: 100 ml (3.4 oz.) or smaller container permitted in carry-on.
Cakes and pies: Not subject to volume restrictions.
Canned or jarred goods containing both solids and liquid that clearly contain less than 100 ml of liquid (e.g., can of tuna) are permitted in carry on, once screened and cleared by the Screening Officer. Canned and jarred goods that have more than 100 ml of liquid (e.g., large jar of olives) should be packed in checked baggage.
